For nearly four decades, the OSU Comprehensive Transplant Center has been a local and national leader in the field of transplantation. We’re consistently ranked among the top 10 in the nation for the number of transplants performed annually. Our Center includes: blood and marrow transplantation, kidney transplantation, liver transplantation, pancreas transplantation, heart transplantation and lung transplantation.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is home to some of the most advanced cellular transplant research and treatment techniques in the nation. Performing nearly 400 transplants each year, our program also boasts some of the most impressive outcomes data for abdominal transplants across the country.
OSU Comprehensive Transplant Center is creating transplant discoveries through research that become life-saving treatments for our patients. Current research initiatives are concentrated in immunobiology, bioengineering, tissue engineering, experimental therapeutics, experimental histopathology and bioinformatics.
Fellowships are offered in minimally invasive heart transplantation, transplant surgery, and nephrology, renal/transplant pathology. An Internal Medicine/Transplant Specialty Practice Pharmacy residency is also offered.
