Coping with COVID-19 Affirmations: Redirecting mental energy

Are my challenges real or imagined? Do I waste my time and energy wrestling with situations? Am I playing conversations that likely will never occur?

I’m like Don Quixote, doing battle with menacing giants, battling them until I am mentally exhausted. While there is amusement in the fantasies that occupy our minds, the better use of our time is not slaying imaginary monsters, but taking small challenges and building them into large challenges.

It’s important for today to give our challenges only the value and attention they deserve. Anything more is simply wasting time and energy.
