COLUMBUS, Ohio – Dr. John Christoforidis (43221) has joined Ohio State University Medical Center’s Department of Ophthalmology.

Christoforidis received his medical training from The Ohio State University’s College of Medicine and completed his residency at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore.
He completed a research fellowship at the National Eye Institute’s Ophthalmic Genetics and Clinical Services Branch in Bethesda, Md., and a retina research clinical fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston.
Christoforidis also studied ophthalmology and radiation oncology at Aristoteleion University in Thessaloniki, Greece.
He has a clinical interest in retina-related eye disease and research interests in retinal vascular occlusion and imaging.
