I specialize in gastrointestinal surgery/wound care and hyperbarics.
I approach the patient as a whole — not just a small wound or a diagnostic problem. This allows me to formulate a plan specific to the individual to help him or her heal faster.
I have been in medicine and surgery for more than 30 years. Now, I focus my abilities on chronic wound healing. This has given me the most satisfaction in patient care.
I trained at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and then went into private practice. But I returned because I missed the academic environment, as well as teaching resident medical students. I enjoy watching the residents I helped train become mature, accomplished surgeons.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, watching movies and reading. I have developed into a fairly accomplished chef, after taking cooking lessons with my wife.
