Patrick Vaccaro, MD, is the director of the Division of Vascular Surgery and a professor of clinical surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Dr. Vaccaro earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed a general surgery residency at Ohio State’s Medical Center and a clinical fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Vaccaro is a member of the Patient Care Committee for Ohio State’s Heart and Vascular Signature program and is the co-investigator on multiple clinical cardiovascular research projects. He has written a number of both editor- and peer-reviewed journal articles, as well as abstracts and book chapters. He is also a frequent presenter of various cardiovascular topics. Dr. Vaccaro is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the Columbus Vascular Society and the International Society of Surgery, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
