Biography:


Jean Starr, MD, RPVI, is the medical director of endovascular services, the vascular surgery associate program director and an assistant professor of clinical surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Dr. Starr earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed a general surgery residency and a vascular surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Starr’s specialty interests are vascular and endovascular surgery. She has performed several hundred endovascular aneurysm repairs and has specific interests in carotid stenting and intervention for peripheral arterial disease. Her research focuses on endovascular trials and clinical outcomes studies. Dr. Starr is an active member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, where she serves on the Women’s Leadership Committee. She served as president of the Columbus Surgical Club from 2009-2010 and received a faculty teaching award in 2008. Dr. Starr also acts as professional mentor for high school and medical school students, as well as residents at Ohio State’s Medical Center.
