Carl Gelfius, MD, FAAPMR, is an assistant professor of clinical physical medicine and rehabilitation at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and a member of the Section of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Gelfius has been recognized as one of the “Best Doctors in America” for 2011-2012.
Dr. Gelfius earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Ohio State’s Medical Center, and completed his fellowship in pediatric rehabilitation medicine at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Gelfius is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; the Association of Academic Physiatrists; the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine; and the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.
His clinical and research interests include acquired brain injury and concussion, electrodiagnosis, cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders and spasticity management. Other interests include instrumental performing arts medicine.
