Gbemiga Sofowora is a cardiologist and assistant professor of clinical medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Dr. Sofowora earned his medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in Osun state, Nigeria, and his master of science degree in clinical pharmacology from Glascow University in Glascow, Scotland.
He completed his residency in internal medicine at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, Penn., and a fellowship in cardiology at Hahnemann University Hospital and in clinical pharmacology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Dr. Sofowora has extensively presented and published research in journals, such as International Journal of Cardiology and Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. His clinical interests include echocardiography and research interests include genetic variability in vascular reactivity.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Sofowora is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and American College of Cardiology.
