Gender does make a difference in cardiovascular care of women. Not only are there different symptoms of cardiovascular disease in women, but the risk factors aren’t the same.
The Ohio State University Medical Center has a Women’s Cardiovascular Health Clinic dedicated to care of women with heart disease.
Our clinic is focused on:
- increasing women’s awareness of risk factors, preventive measures and treatment options for heart disease
- establishing gender-related research studies
- caring for women who are at risk or have heart disease.
Learn if you’re at risk of cardiovascular disease through our risk assessment quiz (link to PDF). Answer these simple questions and return the questionnaire through the mail. Our healthcare team will review the information and send you a letter regarding the actions you need to a take for a healthy heart.
