Our staff includes physicians, acupuncturists, massage therapists and others with outstanding professional training and experience. We are also planning expanding into dietetics, mindfulness-based meditation, nutrition, Tai Chi and yoga to better help you meet your health goals. Dr. Aukerman has served as a professor in The Ohio State University College of Medicine Department of Family Medicine since 1995 and as chair of the department from 1995-1998. He has been named as one of the Best Doctors in America every year since 2003. He also served as interim medical director for The Ohio State University Managed Health Care Plan from 2000-2009 while he was also medical director for Nationwide Health Plans. Dr. Aukerman is also a past president of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians.

Lucy Bartimole, CPT, RYT-200

Specialty: Tai Chi


Lucy Bartimole has been practicing and teaching martial arts for 30 years. She has a lifetime certification from the Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi Chuan Association where she begins serving as president in fall 2013. She won the gold medal in the San Diego Grand National Championships for Tai Chi in 2005. Through certifications ranging from personal training to yoga, Lucy incorporates mindfulness in her movement classes. She helps people improve strength, stability, balance and agility through neuromuscular movements that work the body and brain. She is also the owner of Shift - a mindfulness-based movement studio in Grandview.

Dr. Grandominico is a clinical assistant professor and chiropractor in The Ohio State University Department of Family Medicine. His career has encompassed exercise physiology, fitness training and chiropractic. He has offered chiropractic rehabilitation in his practice since 1997.

Maryanna Klatt, PhD, RYT

Specialties: Mindfulness-Based Interventions and Yoga

Maryanna Klatt, PhD, is associate director of Education for the OSU Center for Integrative Health and Wellness and associate professor in the OSU College of Medicine. A yoga instructor certified through Yoga Alliance who is trained in mindfulness, Dr. Klatt combines these two approaches to prevent and reduce stress. Her research has shown that this improves sleep and reduces hyperactivity. Dr. Klatt’s goal is to expose people to mindfulness, yoga and breathing techniques that can be done during the day in the environment in which they spend most of their time, helping them achieve the life balance they desire.

Ruslana Kurpita, MD, DABHM

In addition, Dr.Kurpita studied at the China Medical University of Taiwan at the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she focused on herbal medicine. Dr.Kurpita incorporates into her practice traditional medicine as well as preventive, nutrition, supplements, vitamins and herbal medicine.

Denise Londergan is an integrative nutritionist/registered dietitian whose clinical interests focus on individualized nutrition therapy and facilitating health promotion classes. She specializes in tailored nutrition counseling:

Denise earned her bachelor of science degree in Medical Dietetics from the Ohio State University in 1974, and her master's degree in Public Health Nutrition from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 1977. She has worked in clinical dietetics, community health settings, and private practice. From 1995 to 2004 she was the lead nutritionist for the Women's Health Initiative (WHI), continuing with outcomes research for the WHI and the Osteoarthritis Initiative.

Patrice integrates a number of complementary practices into her counseling and wellness
coaching with her patients, such as guided imagery and Reiki. She has special interest in working with patients and families facing chronic or life-threatening illnesses; spirituality and healing; loss, grief and end-of-life complications; wellness; and working with healthcare professionals to develop resilience.

Products Research at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He has published more than 145 research papers, authored over 270 abstracts and presentations, and written four books.

Dr. Sharma is a member of various national and international professional societies. Dr. Sharma has lectured and presented research worldwide at various medical institutions and conferences, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Dr. Sharma’s practice focuses on the comprehensive, multi-strategy, prevention-oriented healthcare system of Ayurveda, and he teaches meditation.

Melinda Skipper, CNP

Melinda Skipper earned her bachelors of science in Nursing from The Ohio State University in 1999. After graduation, she completed a critical care fellowship at Riverside Methodist Hospital where she then worked as an emergency room staff nurse. In 2007, Melinda changed her focus to not only acute care but to preventive care, and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from Wright State University. After nearly 12 years as an emergency room nurse Melinda joined The Ohio State University Department of Family Medicine.

Melinda has a great interest incorporating exercise, nutrition, stress management, and supplements into the traditional care of her patients.

David (Dehui) Wang, R.Ac, Dipl.Ac, Dipl.C.H, Dipl.ABT, DOM, MD (China)

Specialty: Acupuncture


Dr. Wang holds licensure as a physician in mainland China, where he practiced in a hospital for 10 years before coming to the United States in 1995. He served as academic dean at the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, N.M. from 1995 to 2000. He is also dean of Oriental medicine at the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus since 2001. Dr. Wang is the founder and president of the Ohio State Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

The Ohio House of Representatives honored Dr. Wang for outstanding contributions to the field of alternative medicine in November 2004. Dr. Wang has published numerous books and research articles in China on the topics of traditional Chinese medicine.

Hailing Zhang, R. Ac, Dipl. Ac,OMD/MD (China)

Dr. Zhang has training and experience in both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. Her career has included the practice of medicine, medical education and medical research. She has taught and lectured extensively on
traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. She has also published numerous articles, books and research studies.

Dr. Zhang is particularly interested in acupuncture for women’s health issues including infertility, menopause, and menstrual related symptoms.
