Urology

The Ohio State University Medical Center has been caring for urology patients for more than 85 years. Our physicians provide surgical and medical care for male and female urological disorders, including prostate and bladder cancer, male impotence, ureteral and  renal stones, and incontinence.

Our urology program continues to grow with the addition of internationally recognized physicians and innovative treatment options for patients including:

--establishing an internationally recognized robotic prostatectomy center
--introducing a voiding disorders practice with a complete range of diagnostic capabilities
--creating a kidney stone management program with ambulatory treatment using lithotripsy and ureteral endoscopy

As the only academic medical center in central Ohio, we are also committed to developing research that will translate into more effective treatments for patients with urologic disorders, while teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals to provide excellent urological care. Our physicians strive to tailor treatment that is both effective and minimally disruptive to patients’ quality of life.
