National Accreditation
University Hospital East is accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations demonstrating the commitment of the hospital physicians and staff to provide quality health care and provide a basis for continually improving care and service for patients at University Hospital East.

The Addiction Services program at University Hospital East (Talbot Hall programming) is accredited by the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addition Services (ODADAS).

The University Hospital East labs were surveyed by the College of American Pathologists for accreditation as a part of an OSU Medical Center system-wide survey. The survey examines compliance, safety and quality of care issues related to the blood bank, anatomical pathology and clinical pathology. The labs passed with outstanding marks.

University Hospital East received a Score of 90 percent  on Anthem’s 2001 Hospital Quality Program Scorecard. This score put the hospital very near the top quartile of performers for similarly sized hospitals in Ohio. The Anthem target is 70 percent, which we surpassed.

University Hospital East labs are accredited by The College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB).
