Visiting Hours

For the comfort of our patients, only two visitors are permitted at any one time (exceptions are outlined below). Talk with the charge nurse in your unit if you would like to have additional visitors. All visitors must be free of illness. In areas where overnight visitors are allowed, visitors must wear an identification badge at all times. Patient visitation is not restricted on the basis of age, ethnicity, religion,
culture, language, physical or mental disability, socioeconomic status, sex, sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.

Dodd Hall Rehabilitation Services
Visitation is 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

OSUCCC–James
General visiting hours are 24 hours a day in most areas. Specific areas may have different visitation hours based on the needs of their unique patient population. The number of visitors and length of visits may be limited in order to provide for the rest and recovery of the patient.

Overnight visitation is allowed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. One visitor may stay per patient per room. The needs of the patient are the primary factor in deciding whether to allow overnight visitation. All overnight visitors must obtain a visitation pass from the nursing station.

Children may visit patients in their room (with the permission of the nursing staff) or in the family waiting areas. Children are not able to visit overnight. Children generally may not visit on the Blood and Marrow Transplant Unit.
