Library for Health Information

About Us
A nationally recognized leader in patient care, education and research, OSU Medical Center is uniquely qualified to provide reliable, credible healthcare information. One of the outstanding resources we provide is the Library for Health Information (LHI) in the Atrium.

It’s easy to contact the library any time. You can visit our library located at the Medical Center campus , or you can call (614) 293-3707, e-mail or use this online Information Request Form to make a request for health information.

The Library for Health Information can help you find trustworthy, valid information on any health topic. However, the Library for Health Information complements the health education you are receiving from your healthcare providers. Your providers should always be your primary resource for health education. Information at the Library for Health Information should not be construed as personal medical advice. If you do not have a physician, please refer to our Centralized Physician Database.

The LHI has been providing free consumer health information in a variety of languages to the public since July 1996. Support for the library is based on a development fund originating with Pharmacia Upjohn, the Harold F. Zieg Family and the OSU Medical Center Service Board. The LHI is the consumer health branch of the John A. Prior Health Sciences Library.
