Outpatient Services
In the outpatient setting, our rehabilitation programs address restoring optimal mobility, strength and function; alleviating pain and discomfort; and promoting healing. We also educate and motivate individuals to maintain or improve physical conditioning at the highest level within the limitations of the current disability or restoration. We treat adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with musculoskeletal or neurological injuries; people who were injured at work; and people recovering from orthopaedic surgery. Each therapy program is individually designed to meet the needs of each patient and includes home therapy techniques so patients can continue their rehabilitation independently. Our recently renovated therapy area offers:
- A functional bathroom, kitchen and daily living space to provide real world experiences for patients
- Lockers for patients to store purses and small personal items
- ADA accessible bathroom (on first floor)
Outpatient Services offered at University Hospital East include:
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Therapy
- Swallowing Evaluation and Treatment Services
- Functional Capacity Program
