Coach Tressel Joins Golfers at Tournament

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A golf outing to benefit research and education in The Ohio State University Medical Center’s Department of Ophthalmology will be held June 2 at the Golf Club of Dublin.

Jim Tressel, coach of Ohio State’s football team, will be the guest of honor at the third annual OSU William H. Havener Eye Institute BuckEYE Golf Classic.

Proceeds will support the Ophthalmology Resident Research and Education Fund or any other ophthalmology fund of the participants’ choice. These funds can be found online at http://www.eye.osu.edu.

Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by golfer photograph opportunities and a lunch prior to the 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Dinner will be served during the awards ceremony, following golf. The $500 registration fee includes full use of practice facilities, clubhouse, green fees and cart, a gift package, including a framed photograph with Coach Tressel, lunch, dinner and awards.

The OSU Havener Eye Institute provides comprehensive eye care, at two Dublin locations, for conditions such as cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and glaucoma. It is also recognized as a regional center for ophthalmology education, diagnosis and treatment.
