Volunteering 

Thank you for your interest in the volunteer program at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Volunteers are regarded as in integral part of our team, helping fulfill our mission: To improve people’s lives through innovation in research, education and patient care. 

The Medical Center includes University Hospital East, Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital, OSU Harding Hospital, University Hospital, and Ohio State's Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (The James). The volunteer program at University Hospital East, Ross Heart Hospital and University Hospital has four components designed to accommodate the unique needs of different volunteers.

NEW: Allied Medicine Observation Hours (Students wanting to obtain observation hours for applications to Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy or Radiology programs should apply through our observation hours process, not the volunteer program)

Adult volunteer
(over 18 years of age, not currently an undergraduate student)

College volunteer (currently an undergraduate student)

High school volunteer (at least 16 years of age)
