Thank you for your interest in the volunteer program at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Volunteers are regarded as in integral part of our team, helping fulfill our mission: To improve people’s lives through innovation in research, education and patient care.
There are four volunteer offices within the Medical Center. Each office supports the services and volunteers within their building.

- Supports Dodd Hall Rehabilitation Services and Outpatient Rehabilitation at Martha Morehouse Medical Plaza
- Supports OSU Harding Hospital
- University Hospital East
- Ross Heart Hospital
- The James
The volunteer program at University Hospital, University Hospital East and Ross Heart Hospital has four components designed to accommodate the unique needs of different volunteers.

Adult volunteer (over 18 years of age, not currently an undergraduate student)
College volunteer (currently an undergraduate student)
High school volunteer (at least 16 years of age)
Allied Medicine Observation Hours (Students wanting to obtain observation hours for applications to Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy or Radiology programs should apply through our observation hours process, not the volunteer program)
