Rehabilitation Psychology focuses on behavioral and psychological treatment for patients, family, and caregivers coping with chronic illness and disability. Our specialists treat adults with disabilities related to physical, sensory, cognitive, and emotional functioning, with treatment focused on adaptation to chronic illness/disability and improving quality of life factors.
Our Services
We provide both inpatient and outpatient services to patients in the following areas:
- Neuropsychological Assessment of the brain’s influence on function and behavior
- Assistance with adaptation and coping with acquired disability, such as brain injury, spinal cord injury, or burn injury
- Assessment and treatment for chronic pain
- Treatment for stress-related disorders
- Assistance with coping with chronic illness/conditions
Outpatient services are individualized and tailored to meet the needs and values of each patient and can include individual treatment, as well as family psychoeducation and treatment, as appropriate. Telehealth services are also available, in order to help increase access and engagement in therapeutic services. Our team also provides inpatient services to multiple medical departments and units throughout the hospital.

Parking
Patients and their visitors will pay a reduced fee for all garages in the medical center (12th Avenue, SAFEAUTO, Wexner Medical Center Garage). Parking validations can be obtained at registration or at any Information Desk located throughout the hospital. You must bring your garage ticket with you for proper validation. The Patient Courtesy Shuttle is a free shuttle available for patients and visitors to and from the medical center parking garages and buildings. To access the shuttle, please call 614-293-8669 during our hours of 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. All transport vehicles are ADA accessible.
Accessible parking is available in the front and back of Dodd Hall, as well as all patient parking garages on the OSU medical center campus. Accessible parking in front of Dodd Hall is serviced through ParkMobile, and can be paid through the mobile app or website, at the parking meter near the parking spots, or patients are able to call Park Mobile at 877-727-5457 to assist with parking related questions and fees.
